FC19 update, broken video

I just updated a user's FC19, and it utterly broke X. I can run xinit, but
no font, and no attention. No matter what I've tried, I can't get a
working X. init 3, then startx shows *no* EE.

His machine is a Dell PE T3500 with an RV620GL (ATI FirePro 2260) video card.

Clues for the aggravated?
