RE: RH 7.1 installation

I had many similar problems running RH 7.1 on IA64. 
I moved to RH 7.2 and had fewer problems.
I upgraded the RH 7.2 to kernel version 2.4.9-34 and my problems went away.

Hellow, and thanks for you help.

I have a problem with the Red Hat installation on a ia64. The problem is
the computer halts when is installing the pakages.

I have proved differents types of installations, but allways the computer
hatls in the same step.

Can it halt  by the x-windows??? or malfunction of cd?
