ATI RageXL video controller problem

Hi,
    We've been tesing RedHat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 AS (Derry)(64
bit) on Itanium 2 platform, details as follows

Itanium server platform - Intel SR870BN4
Display Controller - ATI Rage XL video controller with 8 MB

Issue is that OS is unable to probe any monitor that's used on the
server ( during installation we got through the GUI mode & selected ATI
Rage XL from the list, then while OS installs it enters the text mode
only, we've tried Xconfigurator tool for various combinations) , in our
judgement RedHat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 AS (Derry)(64 bit) doesn't
support this particular (ATI Rage XL video controller) display
controller, what's the workout for this problem
