Hello, I'm trying to install x86-compat-libs-7.2-1.i386.rpm on an HP rx2600 running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation v.3. The problem is that the libraries in this package link to glibc2.2, whereas WS v.3 has glibc2.3. Unfortunately, this means I can't run any x86 apps, which I can do on other machines running RHEL AS v.2.1 (which has glibc2.2). Does anyone have a solution for this? I have tried looking for later versions of x86-compat-libs, to no avail, and I would prefer not to downgrade RHEL WS to v.2.1 just to make the glibc compatible. From what I have read on the web, running two versions of glibc is also not a good idea. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks, James Elliott
