The 117C BIOS for Intel ITP has the alternative of making a CD which boots automatically when you switch to it under EFI. If your question is whether that works for the HP box also, I don't know that one. -----Original Message----- From: Amit Purohit [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2002 1:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: BIOS update. Hello, I am having a HP IA64 box running redhat linux 7.1. I am trying to update the BIOS on the machine. I do not have LS120/240 diskette. The installation instruction distributed along with the update concentrate mainly on the use of LS120/240 drive. The BIOS update is too bigger (5MB) to fit on a normal floppy. I want to know whether it is possible to update the BIOS using a CDROM or by any other method which does not require the LS120/240 drive.
