I don’t understand this. The shirts were sent to contributors who
translated a certain number of strings in a previous release[1]. I don’t
see how this applies to a GSoC talk. If you earned one, I’d encourage
you to wear it as it is an awesome shirt.

[1] in full disclosure, the organizers of the shirts gave me one. I like
    to think it was so I would wear it at conferences. I’ve done this
    and gotten lots of compliments and questions as I explained our
    localization efforts. However, I’m worried they really gave it to me
    to encourage me to work faster on getting localized docs working
    again :) this should happen during the upcoming docs fad.
