Your email went to the list blank. Yes, LinuX can be used as a firewall. IPTables is supplied with Redhat 8.0, and simple things can be done with the following commands: iptables --list > ~/iptables.save lokkit /etc/init.d/iptables save You'll also need to set the machine to foward packets: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward Search for the IPTables HOWTO. There is more that you will need to know to do this safely.
