unresolved symbol kfree

Hello,
        I am new to redhat linux. Presently i have a streams
driver on suse linux 7.1 kernel version 2.4.0. when i try to
install the same module on redhat linux 8.0 kernel version
2.4.18-14, i got a problem as

"unresolved symbol kfree"
"unresolved symbol kmalloc"
"unresolved symbol printk"

       Is there any problem with the kernel 2.4.18? How can i
solve the problem?

       For your information, I have build a new sample driver 
with
the above functions which is working fine on redhat 8.0, which
means that the symbols are present. But i don't understand why 
this problem is comming in my driver.

Could any one please help me.
