Can someone tell me if "support is not included" means "we do not > support this configuration" or "this product cannot do this"? The > phrasing is a little unclear. Both. The product can't do it, because it has no upgrade option in the installer. Since this is the first Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES and also since it's code base differs too much from the Red Hat Linux line to guarantee any degree of success upgrading, upgrading isn't an option. Which also means we don't support the configuration. You *could* tweak it to make it upgrade, but the modifications would make it no longer RHEL ES and therefore unsupported (though it may well be perfectly functional). That would likely take longer than a straight install. So the thing to do (generally) is migrate data somewhere safe, install, and bring the data back in which is supportable via tech support. The support matrix (depending on which ES you bought) is here: http://www.redhat.com/support/techsupport/production/ES_main.html --jeremy
