Yes, it can be done. I just built my father a new box and it is currentally duel booting XP and Linux. I partationed with Linux and installed /boot to it's own partation. I put the XP partation at the very beginning of the drive. I then installed XP letting it format the partation Linux made for it as a place holder. Then booting into linux with a boot disk, I wrote LILO to the MBR and the machine boots perfectly. Good Luck. >Hi everyone > >I just bought a Dell Insperion 8200 and i am wondering how i can dual >boot winxp AND linux on it > >I dont think i can install the LILO in the mbr because of winxp or am i >wrong ? >If i am right where can i put it without fucking winxp up > >Does anyone have a solotion > >Thanks from >Johan Fogel >Sweden _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
