RE: Installation issue

Per your and Anthony Greene's suggestion, I added my system to the
"/etc/hosts" file. As soon as I saved the file, the graphical login came up.
Doesn't Red Hat know you're supposed to have to reboot after any system
change? :-)

However, you also mentioned:

"In /etc/inittab there is a line that reads
id:3:initdefault:

Change the 3 to a 5. "

Why would I want to do this? Should I still do this?
