I had a post a while ago when I was investigating this for myself.

You just need stunnel installed and the https service defined
in /etc/services.

I believe both will be in most 7.x default installs of redhat.

Also you will want to check out one more url if you are using
piranha-0.6.1-3. Unless you apply this patch to the nanny source the
"sending program" option won't really work.

This caused me some grief for a while, but everything is working fine now.
I hope this patch will make it to the next version. Not sure who is in
charge of the source for piranha.
