By different types of servers, I am assuming you mean web servers, ftp servers, etc. If my assumption is correct, you merely need the 2 initial controllers and can use the remaining 6 boxes to be the actual servers. I am uncertain why you would need 4 different clusters. You can run different types of services within the same cluster (private network). This is, in my opinion, a much cleaner environment than attempting to use a machine as both the lvs director and a real server concurrently. All of my exxperience is with lvs rather than fos, but my understanding is that with fos you could have 4 sets of 2 machines with failover, but not load balancing.
