Newbie: Changing LVS/Piranha configuration while cluster is running

I haven't found information in the documentation but I may have missed 
the discussion.

I have my piranha cluster (two directors in fail over configuration with 
two web real servers behind).  I would like to add a new service (such 
as ssl)  or add a third real server.   I make the configuration change 
inside the piranha GUI, which updated the lvs.cf file.  I then scp the 
.cf file over to the standby director. My question is, what is required 
to make the changes effective in the running cluster?  I am assuming the 
GUI is an interface to the config files and clustering aspects but 
doesn't force the changes in "by hand".

Do I need to 'pulse reload' or 'pulse stop/start' on both directors for 
the changes to take effect? If so, does that mean every time I make a 
change I have to disrupt current and incoming connections for a few 
seconds while I reload?

I couldn't seem to find the step to perform to make changes take 
effect.   If the answer is RTFM, a pointer to the section that covers it 
would be appreciated.
