hi Praveena,
Do you use only 2 Linux box? one for Primary and the other
for back up.?
Can you give some configuration help for me?
Because I also want use 2 boxes to do load balancing.
But, when I try to use LVS router, I do not know how to configure real
server. Because in my case,
Can you say something about real server? Is it necessary to configure LVS
router + real server in 1 box ?( backup same .)
(My Linux: Redhat advanced server 2.1)
thanks

Subject: ipvsadm
Hi,
I am configuring the load balancing and high availability clustering
using piranha-0.4.12 with kernel 2.2.14-5.0 on RedHat Linux 6.2 with
ipvsadm-1.1-2. I am stuck up at couple of places and need help. I
have 2 linux boxes with same configurations for primary and backup
node.
1. When I mention the service:fos in the lvs.cf file, and
run /usr/sbin/ipvsadm , I dont get to see the services or the real
servers added. If I use service:lvs , then everything works fine.
2. When I am adding the ldap service on port 389, and run the ipvsadm
command, I dont get to see the realservers added. I get only the line
that ldap service is running but not the real servers under it.The if
I run the following command, then the realservers where the ldap is
running is shown in the table.
command: /usr/sbin/ipvsadm -a -t virtualserver ip:389 -r
realserverip:389 -m
Can anyone there give a solution.
Thanks,
Praveena
