I have a question on how pulse monitors the time. I had an incident where the application we had rolled this morning. I had noticed that ntpd was down on a machine and restarted that. It adjust the clock forward by two minutes. Shortly after that, the monitoring box considered the master dead and rolled. Could this have been caused by the time shift forward two minutes. The deadtime in the lvs.conf file is 30. Does this mean that if ntpd shifts the clock forward by more than thirty seconds it will cause the monitoring box to declare the live box dead even though it is still alive? TIA, Ed
