This is usually different for each modem manufacturer and even modem type. You will have to get the manual for your particular modem either off the web or in hardcopy to figure this out. I have my US Robotics Courrier external 56K V.everything modem doing caller ID in a script that take the phone number and caller's name and passes it thru a speech synthesizer so my sound board speaks the name and number thru my speakers. That way, I do not have to look at the screen to know who is calling. _______________________________________________ Redhat-ppp-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-ppp-list Thanks for all ur replies.
