Re: /usr directory

Fisrt of all you have to check the partition which your /usr belongs to
(check it with "df /usr") and "fsck.ext3" that /dev/hd(x?)(n?), be aware
that while your usr has not got umounted, fsck may cause some data
damage(dont worry, it wont), mount it again and ....

After that if no differences, now please give more info :)
I myself have had 3 or 4 of such experiences, each of them with different
reasons ...
