if you try with internal modem ..i dont know..
last time i did was using external modem ..no need configuration and 
compiler.. 
it will run ok with RH9.. just make sure your modem support linux.. 
eventhough it will not required a driver..

Q1. i am facing a problem in making a dialup connection in redhat linux 9.0. its automatically adding some other dial-up number. why?
 
suppose i am adding 13133311, but when i click on connect by kppp it automatically adding some other number.
 
how to resolve that problem.
 
 
Q2. how i can get the driver of conexnt modem for linux 9.0. how i can compile it.
where i can get this driver.
