I have a problem with my ADSL modem. The ADSL supports web-based=20
configuration. It's IP address is 192.168.1.1. To connect to that IP my=20
ethernet card should be configured with a static IP address 192.168.1.* =
[*=3D2=20
to 254] with a subnet mask 255.255.255.0.When Fedora core starts it=20
autometically detects my ethernet. I am sure about that as "ifconfig =
eth0"=20
gives the proper information. To test whether my Ethernet card can=20
communicate with the ADSL or not I do a ping test to my ADSL =
(192.168.1.1).=20
But it do not work.
Using static IP address I was able to communicate with my ADSL (and also =

able to connect to the Internet) in FC4 last week. So, there is no =
driver=20
problem. But after restart the problem started. I think it is some kind =
of=20
mis-configuration problem. Can anyone help me on this ?
