RE: Securing Sendmail 8.11.6-23 from spammers

Please have a detailed view of what your problem is. See what destinations
try to relay to you and from where these spammers connect to your mail
server. Logwatch gives you an overview of sendmail activity. Also check the
maillog in /var/log directory. Your IP is highly likely not to be removed
from the blacklist unless you contact the list maintainers directly and
clear things out. SMTP-AUTH is a hack to the SMTP protocol which was born in
a free world with no spammers. Hacks like this are created to attempt to
repair deficiencies. Do not expect such hacks to work with all clients. 
Regarding its use I have already stated my opinion.
Work only with the access file and dump the rest. Run the sendmail for some
time in debug mode and check the logs.
As soon as you find the spammers source block the IPs via iptables.

Olsi - I am still having problems with the situation.  If I don't use
SMTP-AUTH, what else can I use?  How do you think, I should go about it?
