I am soliciting advice from the eminent linux wizards on this list as to the proper course of action re: MailScanner. Obviously, this might be better posted on a MailScanner mailing list. But, in light of the great advice I read on this list, I wanted to get the opinions of those here.

I've been using MailScanner + SpamAssassin + F-Prot + Clamav for over a
year. I also use Redhat's default sendmail rpm's. MailScanner doesn't
require any customization of sendmail. It also comes as an rpm. There
isn't much to setting it up and it works well!

The latest SpamAssassin 2.50 has a bug that affects MailScanner. I
suggest you use SpamAssassin 2.44 until this is fixed. Julian Fields
(MailScanner author) suggested a patch to the SpamAssassin folks but I
think I saw that they were going to fix the problem in a different way.
