I require to find out what are the supported kernels for RedHat 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 nd 8.0. I understand that "basically any kernel can run on any OS but I require the supported versions only. The document I am looking for should be in the following form: Red Hat 7.1 - kernel A, kernel B, ......Red Hat 7.2 - kernel X, kernel Y, ...... Also if some one can advise the best way to write a script that will tell me what version of RedHat Linux a user is running. The application I am developing will need to check what OS the user is using. I want to find the default supported kernels and add compile code for the particular kernels. Thanks in advance.
