RE: Ver. 7.2 block device definition errors

Hi Steve,

The "l" in the ls output line refers to link and the rest of the line tells
you that /dev/cdrom is a link (I think is a softlink) to /dev/hdc, which is
your CD drive and you do not correct this because it is correct.

Let me tell you that the way you put the question is totally wrong to a
mailing-list like this one, and that I'm only answering you because I'm a
newbie too and I'm bound to make bad questions too.

However, you should do some research before you ask something, and never,
but never ask something like this if you want to have some answer.

As you are only asking what the "l" means that is the answer that I can give
you, the rest assume as being me trying to help you not to make a fool out
of yourself.
