segmentation fault

hi ppl

I have taken coureir-imap-1.7.1.20030319.tar.bz2 from inter7.com
I have performed the operation
rpmbuild -ta coureir-imap-1.7.1.20030319.tar.bz2
This has create rpms in
$HOME/rpm/i386
MY.rpmmacros file has the
%_topdir $HOME/rpm
After the operation the following files are created.

courier-imap.rpm
courier-imap-ldap.rpm

But if i try to install it i get a error as
I am using pm -4.1-1.06

[root@portal i386]# rpm -ivh
courier-imap-1.7.1.20030319-1.8.0.i386.rpm
Preparing...
########################################### [100%]
Segmentation fault

So i did
rpm -rebuilddb

Then i got this


  [root@portal i386]# rpm -ivh
courier-imap-1.7.1.20030319-1.8.0.i386.rpm
Preparing...
########################################### [100%]
         file /etc/pam.d/imap from install of
courier-imap-1.7.1.20030319-1.8.0 conflicts with file from
package
imap-2001a-15
[root@portal i386]# rpm -e --nodepsimap-2001a-15
--nodepsimap-2001a-15: unknown option
[root@portal i386]# rpm -e --nodeps imap-2001a-15
Segmentation fault

Could u kindly tel me what is happening
