Just up2date'ed the following: samba to 2.2.7-2.7.2 samba-client to 2.2.7-2.7.2 samba-common to 2.2.7-2.7.2 samba-swat to 2.2.7-2.7.2 glibc to 2.2.4-32 nscd to 2.2.4-32 Now when I start samba it just continues to gobble up pids (I stopped it at well over 100 pids) and then other things stop running like sendmail's mta. The problem is with samba because when I stop samba and the pids clear out sendmails mta starts running again. I have re-installed the samba rpm's with the rpm -U --force <pkg-name> with no luck. The previous version of samba was 2.2.4-31 Any help would be appreciated. stew --- Outgoing SofTEC USA mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
