VNC is a BIG security risk, as none of the transmission(s) are encrypted... Unless they have fixed that recently with a newer version than what we used to use. Yes, you need to know a password (if one has been set up for the connection) but... Other than that... There is nothing encrypted about the data stream. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of upendra Sent: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 1:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: VNC Hi all, May I know what ar e the capabilities of VNC on linux ? and what are the substitutes to it?
