Migrating from RedHat Linux 7.2 to Enterprise Standard Edition

I currently have 12 servers running RedHat 7.2 that is shipped with my Dell Servers. We are looking at upgrading to the Redhat Enterprise Standard Edition. Are the releases different? Do I need to upgrade or does this just license me to get errata releases after Dec. 2003. If I do need to upgrade, can I just perform an upgrade or would I have to actually perform a full install, wiping out what was there before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
