hi, i've been doing some more digging and doing sh -x /etc/pcmcia/network start eth0 the script tries to grep eth0 from /var/lib/pcmcia/stab but there's no eth0 there. cardmgr just wrote Socket 1: CardBus hotplug device Can this be the problem? Is the routing correct? Is the eth0 interface configured correctly? check "ifconfig eth0" and "route -n". Most likely you will find a problem there. Or maybe there's a very strict firewall running on either your box or the target machine? Or maybe the cabling is faulty (like using cat3 cable on a 100Base-T network) Several possibilities, but I don't think it's a kernel/driver problem.
