Hi,
2 Part question am interested if anyone else has seen
this
Question 1:
when I run a ps -ealf www|grep httpd on Apache, it
shows some processes as "schedul" and some as "semop"
what is the difference?
Question 2:
When I run a Apache Server with Jserv enabled on
Sun for a certain config(httpd.conf) file, It
generates 1 Monitoring base httpd process and 8 other
childs
On Linux for the same version of Apache and same
config file except hostname change it generates 1
monitoring process and 27 other process For the Apache
it generates a child of the base process and a child
of it under it(totally). The child process is shown as
a "schedul" process and the child of the child is
shown as a "semop"
pstree shows something like, understand what the java
is, but not what all the httpd are
bash-2.05$ pstree -np 26709
