Re: Motherboard Swap???

while i haven't done this with any of my redhat setups (they're all 
production servers), i did this with my suse box at home recently. 
unlike windows, it's a sinch.  i was making the swap from a p3-500 to an 
amd athlon xp 1800+ and i was even able to boot off the kernel i had 
built for the p3 (forgot to change the default in lilo).  aside from 
changing a few options in the kernel build, i didn't need to make any 
real changes.  on the windows side, every time i've upgraded a cpu 
(which has always meant upgrading the mobo as well), it's required 
re-installing the os in order to get a semi-stable system.
