Hi,
I have Zcom's XI-300 WLAN PCMCIA card. For this I
am using RedHat 7.1 with kernal 2.4.2-2. The driver
used is linux-wlan-ng-0.1.10's prism2_cs.o.
I am able to self ping and set its IP, but I am not
able to connect to other systems. It gives a
destination host unreachable error. It is able to
detect the card and all. If I give iwconfig I get the
following errors:
" lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 no wireless extensions. "
If I use test_network script in debug tools I get
"PCMCIA network setting are coming from linuxconf.
No PCMCIA network interfaces are configured."
if I type ifconfig it says
"lo Link encap: Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:31 erors:0 droppen:0 overruns:0

How can I configure the wireless LAN network? Are
there any tools which I have to use to do this? Will
netconfig or iwconfig work in this case? How to assign
IP through dhcp?
Please give some pointers in this regard. Thank in
advance.
Naveen.
