My system is fine; there's no reason to go start changing libs all over the place and risk breaking things just because I want to add or change a particular service. When I did an rpm -i on the vsftpd package it complained that it needed a newer glibc and that wrappers were missing. I hate getting into those cascades... Thanks though, Eric. I pulled the source tarball and compiled it for my host, and it's smiles all 'round. Andrew
