I really could use some help. I rebooted the web server (it's running 7.2) & during reboot i get a message on the screen "INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes". I get this message repeatedly about every 5 minutes. I read somewhere that it may have something to do with the Gnome Display Manager. I found some vague instructions on the web about removing the PID file and any stray core files in the root & similar directories. How am I to know what files are stray? I didn't even see a PID file. I'm really new to this if you can't tell. I took over the web server administration without training, & am winging my way through most of it. I ran the red carpet updater before I rebooted it. Someone please help me. Thanks, Gennifer
