Hi,
I researched this board under RH7.0 and everything suggests it is supported. It
shows up on the driver disk. I've tried automatically and manually installing
with parameters:

     aha1542=0x330,11,4,5

but keep getting the error message for either attempt:

     error 2 reading header: cpio: bad magic

I've also defaulted the adaptec board as well as disabled everything. I know
the card and HD are fine because if I let it boot Win95 starts off the SCSI HDD.
Also if I enable autoboot in the SCSI bios setup Redhat loads off the CD.

The system is a compaq prolinea 4/33s upgraded to 486/100. Originally I was
partially successful with an 850M IDE HDD, 24x IDE CDROM, 100Meg Ram, Tseng
ET4000 VLB video, but found I didn't have adequate HDD space for all the
packages I wanted to work with.

Recently I came across a 1 G SCSI HDD, 3x SCSI CDROM external, and adaptec
aha1542c adapter and I'm attempting the install again with the problems
mentioned above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
