w2k prof and domain

Hi,

How can i make w2k machines join my domain.
I tried the NETWORK ID thing in w2k Prof. But i couldnn't make it join .i 
have samba setup as domain logon server .(samba 2.0) and a rrunning 
domainnnn name server Should i use LDAP forr the purrrpose ..?.
