Any ideas would > greatly be appreciated at this point. > > Michael Kallio > CSSS Inc. > 800-367-2882 ext. 6357 I don't know if it work, but you can have a try: (I just want help you get the root's password) 1)Boot the box with other linux, like the linux on one floppy, or the RH install CD, 2)Mount your file system 3)edit the /etc/passwd, remove the passwd from the file (it maybe like "root:*:...", just remove the '*'), you can backup it before do anything if you like 4)reboot you linux box with your hd by now, the root should without any password. wish it can help you.
