Hi, When I orginally installed RedHat I didn't select the XWindow installation at all, hence I get a single black console screen upon startup. I'd like to install XWindows and GNOME - what are the packages and installation procedure to get these working... I have installed XFree86 and gnome-desktop, but it didn't fire up automatically when machine rebooted, and after trying "startx" it complained about a config file missing, so I ran XFree86 -configure, then I copied the XF86Config.new file into /etc/X11 and then ran "startx" again, but didn't get a a window manager...running... Hummmm, I believe I am shotting in the dark... So I figure that I didn't install the correct RPM's or additional ones... not sure - but there has got to be an easier way. Please help! Thanks, Joel
