how to prevent crontab from sending email

hi,
    a pretty dumb qn.how to prevent crontab from sending out email to me
whenever a job is done.eg. mailscanner updating every 5 mins...i don't want
to dump the details into a file but just wanna dump it away..

i tried putting > /dev/null at end of cron statement
