wu-ftp connection refused

Hi,

I get connection refused when I try to ftp into my
linux 7.0 redhat machine.
ftp was working fine 2 weeks ago.
I try to look for the ftpd in ps -ef but it isn't
there.(it is found in the xinitd.d)

anybody have any clue.
