Hi Everyone, My 7.0 machine has been running fine for almost 2 years now -- but on monday morning I tried to SSH to the machine and after password is entered it disconnected. I went to the box and put on the monitor and there were tons of error messages on the screen, segmentation faults. I logged in with root and after a few seconds there was another segfault. I tried to reboot which took ages and for some reason the partitions were not properly unmounted. Once rebooted I was able to log in via terminal and ssh -- but on terminal sometimes there would be errors. I ran up2date and after that was completed I would get segmentation faults when running programs like df and there would be a core dump. I decided to put in a rh7.2 cd and select "upgrade" -- but because the filesystem is not cleanly unmounted it does not want to upgrade. I have also seen with ps -ax there are a lot of jobs with status T Where can I start finding solutions to get machine working 100% again. _______________________________________________________________________ Cool Connection, Cool Price, Internet Access for R59 monthly @ WebMail http://www.webmail.co.za/dialup/
