 There are slightly better signs as to what is going on if you read some
recently closed bugs on bugzilla. I spotted a quote dated the 10th
saying (if I remember correctly) that a fix was in CVS but it might be too
late for the final release, and one a day or so later that a particular
fix probably made it in. I interpret this as a code freeze on the 10th or
11th. Add an estimated time to get boxed sets ready and mirrors
synchronized, and you have the release date, I would say 30th September
was the most likely date, with the 23rd also possible.
