Cordless Freedom Optical keymap

Just purchased the cordless freedom optical kb/mouse set from logitech.
I am happy to report that both worked within seconds of plugging them in
to my RH (null) box.  

Now all I need to do is get the extra keys mapped.  That would be my
problem.  I have no idea how to accomplish this.  I currently have the
following Xmodmap file that I did a xmodmap .Xmodmap to, and the
following keycodes to use.  I have the "windows" keys working the way I
want them, using the F13 and F15 in xmodmap.  Now how do I get the rest 
to launch apps/control volume?  I tried to xmodmap keycode 174=aumix -v
-5
and keycode 176=aumix -v +5 but xmodmap errored telling me it was an 
invalid keysym.

Any one out there done this yet?

oh and by the way, I hope these keycodes save someone else the (little) 
trouble of xev'ing all the keys on this keyboard.  If anyone was
wondering,
this keyboard is extremely nice.  Good features, quiet keypresses (not 
sure if I like that or not), nice black and silver motif.  I may go back
to my corded track ball though, it seems much "cleaner", but I guess
that 
is to be expected since it's cordless.  Still a pain though on stuff
like 
quake and tribes.
