anyone got the rawhide version of "hwbrowser" working?

  the original version of hwbrowser generated a python traceback,
so a quick check of bugzilla showed a bug report, and a workaround 
of upgrading to the rawhide version, hwbrowser-0.6-1.

  except that that version explodes into even bigger pieces with
python tracebacks.  

  hints?  advice?
