'Sysadmin survival CD' Boots but doesn't see my CD drives

I got the ISO for this at freshrpms.net and burned a copy onto a
business-card-sized CD. It booted OK, but after booting, it
complained that it didn't find a rescue CD in any CD drive. The burn
is OK; I checked the MD5 sum of the CD against the .iso file. There
wasn't a published sumcheck at the freshrpms site, but the file SIZE
at my end agreed with that at freshrpms.net.

I have a SCSI CD/RW drive and a SCSI CD/DVD drive. I can boot the
disk from either one, but in both cases, after booting, it complains
that it can't find the CD.

Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong? Is it possible that the
survival CD will boot from SCSI drives, but then not detect the disk
in them?
