I posted a link to the article to KDE and GNOME development
lists last Friday, since the desktop developers were
my most important target. 

I suspected that news sites would pick it up from there,
as they did, eventually. But I didn't want to work on
publicizing it until the developers had a few days
to look at it and respond.
