Note that I said Gnome2 applications and not Gnome applications.  One
of the problems plaguing Gnome2 is that many of the Gnome applications
are not yet updated to the Gnome2 standard (the new UI, gtk2, etc).

Not Gnome applications as such (although Gnome has appeared to "adopt"
them lacking a fully Gnome equivalent).

Both at Gnome2 level.

The issue that Gnome decided to overlook.  People need non-Gnome apps
to provide functionality that Gnome doesn't and these apps are written
using Motif/Java/Qt(KDE) with a "Windows" style interface that goes
against the Gnome2 UI.
