Alt-F4 often works. I carried that one forward from OS/2.

Ditto ^INS and ^DEL (for different things).

Actually, back in my OS/2 days I found some little-known key combinations for 
OS/2 at teamos2, and quite a few worked on Linux too (fvwm2).

If you used to use OS/2, don't go there, it's too depressing. The information 
is not there now. The site got ransacked, and I'm not sure it ever recovered.
