Interestingly here is another report where 2.4.18-14 broke something
that was working fine in 2.4.18-12.5.  NFS became unreliable for this
person after the upgrade, even though there were no changes to NFS
between -12.5 and -14.  Perhaps there may be some obscure problem with
the athlon arch?
