The Amazon privacy policy is actually not that bad compared to CNET's. CNET says bluntly it will do basically what it wants with personal information it collects about you over the web. Amazon, as an e-tailer, is comparatively much more respectful of your personal information. Amazon does not hit me very often with unsolicited email. Every now and then I get stuff from the company or it's affiliates. I've never gotten an email from a group or company whose use of my email address I can trace back to Amazon. Right now, I don't have to pay sales tax on Amazon purchases. The discounts are not too bad. Look again at the Amazon price for Red Hat Pro. Free shipping is usually possible if the order is large enough. All in all, a good deal! You won't get that good a price at CompUSA.
